The EU Communications Code (EU Directive 2018/1972) requires operators to let their customers know what options are available to them when coming out of contract. When a customer is already out of contract, this will be an annual update.

There are a few options available to you when your contract ends:

You can stay on your current plan (on a monthly basis);
You can renew your current plan or switch to another Tesco Mobile plan which might include a new phone upgrade; or
You can cancel your service/switch to another operator (in which case, you will have to provide us with 30 days’ notice in writing or over the phone but do not have to pay any cancellation charges).

Our Best Plan advice is based on the following assumptions:

You are interested in re-contracting on the most up to date Bill pay handset plan of equal value to the plan you are currently on.

If your average out of plan/bundle usage exceeds €5 over the last 12 months, we assume that you would prefer to be on a higher plan which has a greater value but a lower cost based on your usage.

Advice is completed without any input from you the customer regarding any future usage needs and it is advisable to review your options or speak to a member of our staff before relying on our advice.
